How Forever Family Operates
Forever Family produces mini documentaries and negotiates free media time on major broadcast stations. We produce these stories on foster children and foster care to air within television newscasts. These stories are crafted to engage the public and mobilize local media talent both on-air and in community-wide promotions.
Awareness created through Forever Family has generated thousands of viewer inquiries, resulting in hundreds of adoptions, foster families and community volunteers.
In addition, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised in cash, goods and services for teens aging out of the system and medically needy children.

Forever Family Founder Gia Tutalo-Mote

Gia Tutalo-Mote is a wife, mother and Emmy award winning television producer. Founder and CEO of the non-profit organization Forever Family, she has received numerous awards for a lifetime of humanitarian work including: The Congressional Angels in Adoption Award, Florida Department of Children and Families Advocate of the Year, and The William R. Butler Award for Community Service, highest honor the University of Miami Alumni Association bestows. In addition to overseeing all aspects of the Forever Family program, Gia also mentors teens aging out of foster care and is the Executive Producer of all Forever Family television and radio programs. Gia has BA degree in Communication from Florida Atlantic University and an MA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami. She resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her husband and two children. |

Forever Family Correspondent Liz Quirantes

Liz Quirantes is the face of Forever Family in West Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast. Every Tuesday at 5pm, Liz brings you Forever Family stories on CBS 12. Liz Quirantes also anchors the 5:00, 6:00 and 11:00 p.m. weekday newscasts on WPEC CBS 12. She joined CBS 12 in 1991 and since then, has received several awards including an Associated Press Best Series, Award for her undercover work in a report titled 'Inside Castro's Cuba." She was also recently named Best Female Local TV News Anchor by Palm Beach Post readers |

Anna Johnson is the face of Forever Family in Tallahassee and South Georgia. Every Thursday at 5pm, Anna brings you Forever Family stories on WCTV. Celebrated for her leadership role in community and public relations for the local CBS affiliate, WCTV, Anna has received numerous national and local honors and is a respected leader in the broadcasting industry. |
Forever Family Featured Board Members
Tony Segreto |
Tony Segreto was one of the most experienced and trusted anchors on South Florida television. He was an integral part of the NBC 6 news team for 40 years. In 1995, he was honored by the South Florida chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) with the prestigious Silver Circle Award. In December, he received the Governors Award by the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In addition to being a Forever Family Board Member, Segreto works and is involved in numerous other charitable organizations in the South Florida community. Segreto is also the proud spokesperson for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. |
Jeanette Sparano |
Jeanette Sparano insists on using her high profile position as the wife of Miami Dolphins Coach Tony Sparano for the good of the community as a whole. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of Forever Family, Jeanette is involved in several other charities, including: The Miami Dolphins Foundation, Susan G. Komen, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, the University of New Haven, University at Albany, and "Sparano's Squad", and will be honored as 'Woman of the Year 2010' by the 1000+ Club to benefit cancer research. Jeanette and her husband Tony dedicate their time to mentoring young NFL players, and are the die-hard fans of their own athletes son Tony who is beginning his career in coaching after graduating with honors from University at Albany after four years on the football team, son Andy who is a junior at the University at Albany and a member of the football team and daughter Ryan, a senior at Archbishop McCarthy High School and captain of the softball team. |

Mez grew up in foster care, a child of the state from age five until he “aged out” at eighteen. He is now a sophomore at Broward College working on his Associates in Criminal Justice with plans on pursuing his J.D. in law. Currently he plans on minoring in history as he finds it interesting how history often repeats itself. Mez has found that his passion and conviction for others is evident by his job at 4Kids of South Florida and Forever Family. Mez has also helped to establish a Broward Chapter of Florida Youth SHINE and currently sits on the Board. Always the multifaceted person, Mez writes and records music for local producers in various genres and has even been featured on a few popular hip/hop artists albums. |
